Children are back in school 🏫 this time of year and so are we 😢 Maybe literally, but after a long summer 🌞 we become reenergized 🔋 refocused & plunge 🪠 into our work with 🆕 goals 🎯 and great expectations 🥇 As far as our wardrobe 🧥 is concerned, we are eager for change 🧤 and ready to relocate.
First we have to pack the summer stuff 📦 examine what’s left in our closet 🕵🏽♀️ (those seasonless basics), and reintroduce some of our “fall-winter only” clothes 🧦 Then we have to see what needs repair 🪡 what still fits 😨 (sorry but true), and what’s missing 🙅🏾♀️ in order to create a versatile, working wardrobe 🥳

Weed 🌿 out any clothes that no longer fit 🙅🏽♀️ and take them to charity 🎁 thrift shops or give them to friends 👯♀️
If you have built a wardrobe you love 💋 it probably means you’ve worn it often 🤫 which unfortunately wears out those very favorites 😭 Pull out the suspects 1️⃣ by 1️⃣ & try them on. If it’s a little tight or if the lining is sagging or worn then a tailor 🧵 can help❗️ If you bought quality 💯 to begin with, but now it’s a little tight, there should be extra fabric for alterations 😏
Though still a favorite 💥 but maybe starting to look slightly dated ⏱ shoulder pads, buttons, or unnecessary elements 🚫 i.e. epaulets, cloth belts, etc., can more than likely be removed or altered 🧵

- STYLE: Pants suits are now an acceptable alternative to the skirted suit and certainly more appropriate for casual workdays. In fact, their liberating comfortable bottom half has made them almost mandatory in progressive arenas.
