Stella Artois Solstice Lager

As promised 🙋🏽‍♀️ this week’s review IS NOT a Prosecco🍾 Have been a Stella Artois FAN 💋 for years but this was my first 👆🏽 time trying Solstice Lager 🍺

🔍 Product Description 👇🏽 Stella Artois Solstice Lager

Celebrating the return of Stella Artois Solstice Lager 🥳, a premium golden lager 🍺 triple-filtered for refreshment & smoothness 😎 While crafted in celebration of Summer’s longest day 🌞, with citrus 🍋 notes & a crisp clean finish, this beer 🍻 is now available year-round 🎉

Gemma di Luna Prosecco DOC

Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Truly enjoyed 😁 this sparkler out of Spain 💃🏽 Big fan of a really crisp first sip & the back notes 🎶 on the finish were delicious 😋 Would go back for another offering of this wine anytime 💗 (2-23-22)

🔍 Winemakers Notes/Product Description 👇🏽 Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut

Freixenet’s most popular cava, Cordon Negro Brut is often referred to as the “Black Bottle Bubbly.” 🍾 As the #1️⃣ imported sparkling wine in the world, crisp and creamy 🥛 Cordon Negro Brut’s delicate bubbles make this the ideal wine for any occasion. ⛺️ Get ready to sparkle! 🎇

Cordon Negro Brut is a crisp, clean and well-balanced ⚖️ ‘cava’ sparkling wine 🥂 The fresh palate of apple 🍏, ripe pear 🍐 & bright citrus 🍊 flavors combine with a long finish and an exciting touch of ginger 🤩 This brilliant, versatile cava goes well with just about everything 🆒

Bollicini Prosseco

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Non-Vintage Sparkling Wine from Prosecco, Italy
Giving this a 4️⃣-1/2 star 🌟 rating. My only negative ➖; the bubble is looser than I like 💗 but the grape 🍇 is full bodied & the price 💵 is STELLAR❣️

🔍 Winemakers Notes 👇🏽

4.4 rating according to https://bit.ly/winecomsite

This wine has crisp, fragrant notes of apple 🍎, peach 🍑 & pear🍐 Delicious on its own or pairs perfectly with light appetizers 🫕, fresh seafood 🍤, grilled chicken 🍗, salads 🥗 and desserts🥧

Lapis Luna

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Only reason this is getting 4️⃣-1/2 stars is the price💰 Felt it was a bit high 🏧 but not the makers fault 🤷🏽‍♀️ Purchased in Bethesda 💎 where prices run higher 📈 than other locations of Montgomery County, MD🤦🏽‍♀️

🤔 Did you know Montgomery County has a completely separate alcohol law 😢 than the rest of Maryland❓ My county 🌇 has very strict regulations on alcohol sales 🛑

Mouton Cadet

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Almost screamed with delight 😂 when I found this in my local beer 🍺 & wine 🍷 Been searching 🕵🏽‍♀️ for a Mouton Cadet forever without luck🍀

During yoga🧘🏽‍♀️& wine tasting 🥂 (full YouTube video HERE), spoke with owner of Loew Vineyard about Mouton Cadet being my white wale 🐳

This incredible 🔝 2018 vintage took me back to my 3️⃣0️⃣s when I first experienced this full bodied bordeaux 😎

A bit pricey 🤑 at my local store ($16.49) but worth EVERY penny 🪙
MORE than Recommend 😍

Ruffino Prosecco

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Unfortunately, the store walking distance🚶🏽‍♀️from my house has a limited selection of Prosecco🙍🏽 Had my favorite, LaMarca (review coming 🔜), but wanted to try something 🆕

Ruffino’s bright label 🔖 stood out in the wine fridge ➕ the price was very reasonable at $13.99 🤑

Like ALL my reviews 👍🏽👎🏽, waited until after first impression before researching 🕵🏽‍♀️

🔍 Winemakers Notes 👇🏽

🌈 Color: Bright straw yellow 💛 with fine bubbles❣️

👃🏽 Aroma: The bouquet 💐 is fragrant & bursting with fruit notes 🎶 It shows clean aromas of apples 🍎, pears 🍐 & citrus 🍋, accompanied by hints of wisteria 🌺

😋 Tasting profile: Crisp, clean & delicate 🌻 with fine bubbles on the palate. Intense flavors of apples 🍎 & peaches 🍑 lead to a pleasant finish with lingering fruit 🍇 and floral 🌻 notes

Overall, found this to be a really nice Prosecco🍾 & will gladly pick it up again 💳; for a party 🎉 or just because it’s Tuesday 🤪

PSecco Prosecco

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

History of Prosecco

Prosecco (/prəˈsɛkoʊ, proʊ-/; Italian: [proˈsekko]) is an Italian DOC or DOCG white wine produced in a large area spanning nine provinces in the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions. Named after the village of Prosecco which is in the province of Trieste, Italy.

Made from the Prosecco grape (renamed Glera in 2009) but allowed up to 15% of other permitted varieties. Prosecco is almost always made in sparkling or semi-sparkling style (spumante and frizzante, respectively).

Until the 1960s, Prosecco sparkling wine was generally rather sweet. Since then, production techniques have improved, leading to the higher quality wines produced today.

Introduced into the mainstream US market in 2000 by Mionetto, now the largest importer of Prosecco, who also reported an “incredible growth trend” in 2008. Consumption also ballooned in the UK, which became the biggest export market for Prosecco; one quarter of all Italian production.

Since 2020 the DOC rules allow a rosé variety of Prosecco designated spumante rosé, which must contain Glera blended with 10–15% Pinot Noir.

Why Prosecco for Wine & More Reviews

During my weight loss journey, I knew I did not want to give up drinking wine, so I researched the wine with the least calories. From an article in Esquire:

Embrace Prosecco

Prosecco is around 70 calories per 100ml glass, compared to its more glamorous cousin Champagne, which comes in at roughly 95 calories per glass (it’s less expensive, too). Prosecco or champagne cocktails usually mask the sharpness of the sparkling wine with sugar, so avoid these and just drink the bubbly stuff on its own.
