Dolce Gabbana

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The Dolce Gabbana S/S 2021 is pure art! I thought it was incredibly brave to show a collection different from all other Italian designers. These legendary artists present a runway show like nothing you will ever see. All the spring/summer trends are present but delivered in a way that it is pure MAGIC!

Domenico (Dolce) & Stefano (Gabbana) entitled the Dolce Gabanna collection #DGSicilianPatchwork to honor the diversity of Sicilian culture.

Surprisingly with the multitude of shades (the clothes, the accessories, THE RUNWAY), the show flowed beautifully without clashing or looking tacky. You will also be surprised at the number of head-to-toe looks you will be ripping straight from the runway, despite the “patchwork” of colors.

The dynamic duo defines the sexy Italian fashion is known for around the world & this collection is no exception. The accessories are so desirable you better get on the waiting list or I promise you will miss out.

I edited this video to give you a taste of the collection so you don’t have to watch the entire 15.5 mins & 99 looks of the full runway show.

DSquared2

Dan and Dean Caten
Dan and Dean Caten

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The DSquared2 collection brings us another incredible duo of designers, but this time it’s the Canadian twins Dean & Dan Caten. I have loved this pair since the beginning of their career and can’t help but think of the characters Chip & Dale every time I see them.

The DSquared2 customer is sexy & edgy but above all Italian chic. This season the brothers made certain to give us a range of separates that will look incredible no matter what decade you wear them in.

Thrilled to see a bit of androgyny in some of the menswear looks, however may be tough to find a ton of pieces for an older gentleman.

Watching this brief presentation I got a slight Germanic club scene vibe; think Berghain not Golden Gate. Completely LIVING for the zebra print skirt, coated denim jeans & backless dress (video poster pic below).

Emporio Armani

Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The Emporio Armani collection gets a 5-star rating; once you see the video you will see why!

Signore Armani is an ICONIC LEGEND for a reason. Like so many of his colleagues that have stood the test of time (year after year, decade after decade) he creates looks you NEED! He can update a pair of silk shorts so you will buy them even if you already have 10 pair in your closet.

The Emporio Armani collection reads very soft due to the generous use of silk, but maintains edge in the designs.

Their is an oops in my video, accidentally captured one of the looks from the Giorgio Armani S/S 2021 collection. Consider it a sneak peak for the next video, lol.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Everyone knows Giorgio Armani is not just the man but the brand name Signore Armani uses to present his more luxurious line.

He continued his use of silk throughout the Giorgio Armani S/S 2021 collection as he did with Emporio.

Armani is known globally for his suits because of the incredible detail in the tailoring, this season is no exception. The care and couture-like hand given to each piece justifies the luxury level price.

Let’s not forget the shoes, accessories & jewelry. You see the heart and soul in each piece making them more art than fashion!

Luisa Beccaria

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I know it seems like I am giving all the love to the Italian designers (wait until you see Paris, lol) but I honestly felt like my fashion month began once the collections traveled overseas.

Luisa Beccaria‘s S/S 2021 collection for spring is FIRE! The stunning presentation was created by Lola Schnabel, the daughter of the great American artist Julian Schnabel.

Lola takes us on a day in the life of fashionable Italians. From the day looks making bread in the morning to the extraordinary sequined gowns celebrating dinner; there is even a brief detours to the Italian seaside.

The color palette is much softer than most collections for spring but it’s what us die hard fashionistas look for each year. Thank you Luisa for giving them to us and making sure each piece is timeless so we can wear them for many years to come!

Moschino

Jeremy Scott
Jeremy Scott

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Jeremy Scott is another designer I have been following for many, many years. I love the FU avant-garde nature of his designs and the unapologetic way he creates. Jeremy is an expat (American) that worked hard to make a name for himself to win the big prize becoming the creative director of the legendary House of Moschino.

Jeremy has always created amazing collections but for the Moschino S/S 2021 collection he KILLED IT!

I need to take a moment to discuss the runway presentation because no one would dare to present an entire runway show using marionettes, only Jeremy Scott. Even the audience was created GENIUS!! Check out the Anna Wintour marionette in my video poster below. I am sure Jeremy had to get her approval before the final look was presented, lol.

Don’t think the attention to detail was only reserved for the marionettes (baby hairs on the models, LIVING) the actual collection in a word is SPECIAL!

Jeremy sticks with the rich color pallet trending for spring but what he has over other designers is VISION! The Moschino house caters to a more sophisticated client but that doesn’t mean the styles are “old”. Life size these pieces will be walking art and make the wearer look stunning!

Prada

Muccia Prada & Raf Simons
Muccia Prada & Raf Simons

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The Prada S/S 2021 presentation/runway show gave you the feeling of what it would be like if you were in the front row of a fashion show (speaking of Anna Wintour lol). The multi-camera experience is so cool, it just may be the way fashion editors view collections in the future.

Io Amo (I LOVE in Italian) the 50s era of fashion which Raf (Simons) & Muccia (Prada) modernized for spring showing longer hemlines on skirts and kitten heels. The collections color palette extends from a soft pink to rich aubergine.

They have remained a premier global luxury brand decade after decade because they create looks we all covet. Beyond thrilled Prada gave us a full collection for spring.

It is evident the designers thought of our new normal by creating wrap-style jackets that feel protective. Some even have bags attached, making it easy to access your essentials.

Comment below which items will you be getting. Me personally I NEED it all! I can go on forever giving you details of this collection but there is no need, my video will have you drooling.

Redemption

Gabriele “Bebe” Moratti
Gabriele “Bebe” Moratti

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The Redemption S/S 2021 presentation is what I think every female musician from Rhianna to Ariana Grande will be rocking come awards season (February 2021). Remember where you saw these looks *wink!

I was a young teen just coming into my own style in the 80s, so I remember that decade’s fashion very well. When that era of fashion is revisited it is not always done well. Fortunately Bebe Moratti masterfully updates hot pink one shoulder dresses, animal print pieces & more. Loyal Redemption followers will struggle over how many items they will be snapping up come spring 2021!
