WELCOME TO MY MOVIE REVIEWS
From silent films to animated movies…
It’s all covered here
I’ve loved movies all my life! When I was a little girl my parents took me to a double feature, drive-in movie (π΅π½dating myself, lol).
Don’t recall the kids movie, but the 2nd movie was not for kidsπ«
Figuring I would fall asleep before the 2nd movie, π΄ I did, they forgot I could wake up from loud screaming.
I opened my eyes at an “inappropriate for small children” momentπ² Terrified me so much, I am off horror films for life!

Old enough to start watching movies on my own, cable TV came to our neighborhood.
π¨βπ€MTV was all the rage but as a dancer & fashion lover, it was classic movies from the 50s that compelled me.
Friday nights my girlfriends & I walked to the neighborhood theater to catch the π 80s movie. Our favs:
- The Outsiders
- The Karate Kid
- The Breakfast Club
- War Games
- 16 Candles
- Little Darlings (Still love Matt Dillion)
My early 20s, I lived with artistic roommates π¨βπ¨π©βπ€ππ§ββοΈ that exposed me to a wide variety of films. Discovered directors John Waters, Woody Allen & Peter Greenaway.
Saw my first silent film (Charlie Chaplin in The Gold Rush), subtitled movie & dark comedy (Coen brothers Fargo) π
Living on my own, became closer to my mom due to our mutual love of black & white pictures π¬
Recall telling my mom about a π online service. Said she could create a profile & have DVDs delivered to her house. She was like…

“Yes, it’s called Netflix!” She signed up that day & started getting 6 movies EVERY week π. Netflix was new on the scene & allowed me to explore new genres.
Have always loved animated movies, but once my son was born, I gained a deeper appreciation for “feel good” goofy moviesπ€
Have remained an devoted movie lover. When I brought back my website, I had to include a movie review section.
