The agnès b. (pronounced Agnes Bay) S/S 2021 collection made me long for Paris like no other. My love of Paris is because of my luxury first trip to the incredible city of lights, documented in my blog (AB-FAB Designs blog)

The agnès b. presentation takes place on a luxury yacht floating down the Seine River. It was the perfect backdrop for the nautical theme woven throughout the collection.

agnès b. designs clothes that are simple for consumers. Each head to toe look can be ripped straight from the presentation and walk the streets from DC to Tokyo. This is a full collection that offers everything from pants, suits, evening pieces & accessories; all spectacular!

Andrew Gn staged a beautiful presentation for Paris Fashion Week S/S 2021. He generously provided us with a video showing the luxurious art world of Paris.

Each piece is exquisite from the dresses & jumpsuits to the boots & bags. My lovely rich florals are here and the 70s style vibe are continued from F/W 2020.

Balenciaga

Demna Gvasalia

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Balenciaga S/S 2021 collection is modern 80s. Demna Gvaslia’s emphasized this by having the models walking the Paris streets at night to the ICONIC 80s song “Sunglasses at Night” by Corey Hart.

Even 80s neon colors are shown among the edgy collection. These are items that are a bit young for me but I am sure I will find an item or 2 that will work in my closet.

Balmain

Olivier-Rousteing-Balmain

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Olivier Rousteing completely understands the Balmain customer. This young French designer continues to deliver architectural wearable ART year after year.

Olivier puts a spin on the spring accentuated shoulder trend by having them slightly upturned making the waist look mega tiny, BONUS!

Balmain S/S 2021 is a full-on collection covering everything from luxury daytime bike shorts to slinky evening looks. Every trend is here & I can’t wait to get my hands on some pieces. Get me to the wait list!

Chanel

Really?… Do I need to say anything? IT’S CHANEL!!! An ICONIC French fashion house that I don’t believe has EVER had a bad collection in its 111 year history.

Chanel is fashion legend & very few brands can compete with the “Chanel factor”.

Already bought pieces from other collections to make sure you are on trend come spring 2021? Who cares, you will still put a second mortgage on your house to snatch up Virginie Viard’s pieces. Sure many items will sell out in seconds, but I plan to fight hard to get SOMETHING!

Dior

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Maria Grazia Chiuri did a great job creating an extremely unique runway show for the Dior S/S 2021 collection, by inviting several vocalists to create the music.

Unfortunately, when you open the Paris Fashion Week schedule the music from the Dior show would play & I couldn’t get it to turn off. Once you hear the music you will understand why it made it a bit difficult to sit through for long periods of time.

I also edited down the video as much as I could because there is NO WAY you could sit through 15 minutes of the music, your welcome, lol!

But what’s most important is the fashion which is GORGEOUS! So many legendary designers originated in Paris and the House of Dior remains at the top because of collections like this. Even though the pieces are luxurious in textile, they are relaxed in cut & style; think sexy Bedouin.

Don’t have to say that I want it all because it’s obvious, just watch the video!

Elie Saab

I know people think Hallie Barry put Elie Saab on the map but true fashionistas know he was creating beautiful designs long before Ms. Barry got her Oscar.

The Elie Saab S/S 2021 is another collection where I AM LIVING for every piece, including the jewelry & accessories! These are “ladies who lunch” luxurious items that if you have the means and the event, you can’t go wrong.

Many of my beloved trends are here and can see adding a piece or 2 to my collection!

Giambattista Valli

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Monsieur Giambattista Valli created a video/runway experience for us this season. The Giambattista Valli S/S 2021 collection is soft & may seem prim at first glance but believe me there is plenty of edge in these pieces.

I am craving many of the S/S 2021 pieces however, I may have a hard time finding clients that can pull off the layered tulle looks. I appreciate Giambattista wanted to do his take on 80s dresses but not sure if they will work in every wardrobe.

Hermès

Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski

Another collection where I don’t need to say much because IT’S HERMÈS!! This legendary, historic, ICONIC French fashion house always delivers decade after decade.

For Paris Fashion Week, Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski produced a full runway show for the Hermès S/S 2021. The entire collection blew my mind! Completely coveting all the leather pieces & the red in this collection is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.

Isabel Marant

Wow, what a show! I was overwhelmed from the beginning when Madame Marant had ice skaters performing in front of the venue as guests arrived.

The Isabel Marant S/S 2021 is a high-energy presentation that is a mix of performance & runway show. The pieces takes the 80s trend to another level. The color palette is strong and the textiles are beautifully handled.

From day to night each item not only makes a statement but will make the wearer feel on trend and special.

Issey Miyake

Satoshi Kondo

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This GENIUS Japanese owned French based fashion house is pure innovative wearable art. Issey Miyake has a cult following that breathlessly wait year after year for the latest collection.

For Spring/Summer 2021, the newest designer (since Sept. 2019), Satoshi Kondo gave his spin on the trends. His runway presentation takes you on a journey of how he created the patterns for his designs. I was WOWd throughout reaffirming why I love watching the Issey Miyake collection every season.

Issey Miyake is another brand only fashionistas will understand, but keep an open mind to see how pieces will work in your closet.

Loewe

Jonathan Adler

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Jonathan Adler created a unique experience for the Loewe S/S 2021 women’s collection. Instead of doing a runway show he opted to create a video discussing the inspirations for this collection. He also decided to use the campaign photos to show the pieces for the Loewe S/S 2021 collection.

Louis Vuitton

Nicolas Ghesquière

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Come on people I said it about so many other LEGENDARY fashion houses so you know what I am going to say… IT’S LOUIS VUITTON! I hate stating the obvious but I LOVE IT ALL!!

You know season after season Louis Vuitton is going to give us the most luxurious clothes, as well as unique bags, shoes & accessories desired all over the world.

This season I think Nicolas Ghesquière completely out did himself. Look at the bag featured as my video poster image (below), but don’t hurt yourself trying to jump through the screen to get it!

Miu Miu

I love that the Italian designer, Muccia Prada, shows her more affordable Miu Miu line in Paris. We all know why Muccia is a legend & she reaffirms her legendary status at the Miu Miu S/S 2021 collection.

Muccia created an exquisite runway exhibition & like a few other designers editors were signed in virtually and projected on TV screens to watch the show.

I could go on ad nauseam providing details of this DELICIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL collection, but I would rather you watch the video and comment below which pieces you are eyein & buyin!

Nina Ricci

Rating: 3 out of 5.

The Nina Ricci S/S 2021 collections is delightful. The former menswear design team Lisi Herrebrugh & Rushemy Botter, took on womenswear and ROCKED IT!

The small but strong Nina Ricci S/S 2021 collection provides jackets that are exceptional, pants and blouses to die for & anyone that knows me knows I am going to add 1 of those hats to my extensive collection!

Paco Rabanne

Julien Dossena

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo, more commonly known as Paco Rabanne  is a Spanish fashion designer who made his mark in the 1960s French fashion world. He used unconventional material such as metal, paper, and plastic for his metal couture and outlandish flamboyant designs.

For Spring/Summer 2021, the newest designer, Julien Dossena created a traditional runway show for the Paco Rabanne collection. Along with extraordinary looks synonymous with the house there are denim pieces & skirts that will fit right into my closet.

Rick Owens

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Rick Owens provided guests a true experience for the Rick Owens S/S 2021 collection. As the models walked the breathtaking outdoor runway they stopped so a photographer could get photos, possibly for the campaign.

Look past the head-to-toe looks & focus on the individual pieces. Once you do, you will see how these pieces will pair perfectly with items already in your closet. I know there are quite a few I will be snapping up.

I have to take a moment to talk about the thigh high boots; LIVING! I also noted not many international designers created face masks but Rick Owens did them in a way that makes them mega edgy.

Thom Browne

Thom-Browne

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Thom Browne’s S/S 2021 collection is all white. Yes, ALL WHITE! Everything down to the accessories are white. Kinda brilliant to go against what every other designer showed for S/S 2021.

Thom produced an extremely unique runway presentation for the Thom Browne S/S 2021 collection. I won’t spoil the surprise, you just have to watch the video to understand.

Loving the androgyny of the collection & anyone that has ever created (or watched) a one-color collection knows the details are everything. Thom Browne did not miss a single stitch & delivered pieces everyone will die for!
